Description

Meitingen station is located at approx. km 20.5 on line 5300 from Augsburg Hbf to Nördlingen. It is a double-track electrified main line and it is part of the main Augsburg - Treuchtlingen - Würzburg/Nuremberg line. The line's maximum speed is (km 5.1 to km 39.0) 200 km/h and (km 39.0 to Donauwörth) 150 km/h.
In the Meitingen station, there are extensive and spatially extensive electrotechnical 50 Hz installations in the inventory. The various installations are the responsibility of DB Netz AG, DB Station&Service AG and DB Energie GmbH.
The points in Meitingen station are equipped with electrical point heating systems. The power is supplied from the overhead line (15 kV, 16.7 Hz) via 2 point heating stations in concrete switch houses (BSH) at approx. km 20.05 and km 21.0.
The point heating systems located at both station heads will be renewed.
