Description
In order to be able to carry out the general inspections and regular overhauls of the new generation of low-platform tramcars (mark R) following their introduction into the city´s vehicle fleet, it was necessary to modernize the central repair workshop from both a technical and organizational point of view.
The workshop complex in the eastern quarter of the capital embraces the following areas:
- main shop with mounting jacks for vehicle assembly, testing floor and offices (northern facade and supporting structure are both under preservation order)
- shed building with paint shop, acceptance
- individual workshops, working platforms for bodywork repairing and cleaning
