Dorsch Senior Architect and BIM Manager Bassel Omara Announced as Judge for WAF 2019
The World Architecture Festival (WAF) is where the world architecture community meets to celebrate, learn, exchange and be inspired. It is the only architecture event where keynote talks from the industry's most influential figures sit alongside live crit presentations and judging of over 550 award finalists, global networking, a 550 project strong gallery and an international product exhibition.
A number of architects from across the Middle East have been announced as judges for WAF 2019, including our esteemed colleague Bassel Omara, an award-winning Architect, Designer, and BIM Manager with global experience in North Africa and the Middle East. Bassel Omara is Senior Design Architect and BIM Manager at Dorsch Gruppe Middle East. Bassel Omara will also act as speaker at the Design Forum Middle East taking place in Dubai on March 20th, 2019.
WAF's extensive jury panel this year consists of 146 judges representing 48 countries, who will review the programme's categories including future culture, civic and commercial projects, as well as completed residential, health, culture and hospitality projects, among many others.
At WAF in 2018, a number of projects from the Middle East and neighbouring countries were shortlisted. Winning entries included Project Sheltainer by achitects Bassel Omara, Mouaz Abouzaid and Ahmed Hammad, which won the WAFx Ethics and Value award.
WAF will be held from 4 to 6 December, 2019 in Amsterdam.
