Description

Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) appointed the South-East Gas Project Management Board (PVSEG) to represent PVN to complete the “Project Investment Report & Basic Design of Nam Con Son 2 Gas Pipeline System”. PetroVietnam Engineering has been awarded for provision of this Investment Report and Basic Design of this project.

The Nam Con Son 2 (NCS2) pipeline project shall be realized to collect and transport gas from reserves from the Hai Thach, Moc Tinh (block 05.2, 05.3), Thien Ung, Mang Cau (block 04.3), block 04.1 and other gas fields located within the NCS basin offshore Viet Nam for onshore processing.

The pipeline is also planned to transport imported gas from other ASEAN countries to response to demand in the Southeast area of Vietnam.

The NCS-2 pipeline system consists of the following items:

An offshore pipeline, approximate 325 km, starts from The Hai Thach platform, passes the Central Processing Platform of Thien Ung field, Cuu Long basin Bach Ho’s platform and then runs to a landfall station in Long Hai.

The pipeline then continue approximately 9km to GPP2 at Dinh Co; A GPP2 at Dinh Co; An onshore pipeline, approximate 30 km length, starts from Dinh Co GPP2 to Phu My GDC.

The onshore pipeline includes:

A liquid product pipelines from Dinh Co GPP2 outlet to transport to Thi Vai terminal, and the ethane pipeline to Long Son ethylene plant.
