Description

Kasserine and Nefta are located in the Center and Southwest of Tunisia with respectively 83,534 and 21,654 inhabitants suffering from economic marginalization and deteriorating standards of living due to the lack of infrastructure. In Kasserine particularly, the rate of poverty and unemployment is very high. Therefore, the aim of this project was to develop quality, reliable, sustainable and resilient infrastructures in order to promote regional development. This was primarily done by providing technical assistance for the monitoring, control, work supervision and coordination of the wastewater treatment plants of Kasserine and Nefta which contributes significantly to improving water quality by minimizing amounts of untreated water.
